We have published the All-Island Resource Adequacy Assessment 2025-2034. The Assessment contains a series of studies which forecast future demand for electricity in Northern Ireland to signal generation investment opportunities to the electricity market over the next 10 years 1/4
💡 Northern Ireland should have sufficient generation to meet demand in normal operating conditions in the coming years, with opportunity for investment in a small amount of new generation at the beginning of the next decade 3/4

Northern Ireland will be in #SystemAlert from 09:30 on Monday 30th December until further notice due to generator outages.
However, we expect that there will be sufficient generation available to meet demand and we do not expect any impact on users of electricity.
