they come banging on your door in the middle of the night (like they don’t care if you live in a dorm etc and basically kidnap you) bring you to an empty field in the dark, and require u to stand in literal holes (the pledges dig them) and you are to get in the holes with your pledge brothers. while they’re in the hole, you are required to practice your whatever they want you to while getting whooped with a stick or whatever they have if you mess up. that’s one of the rituals. I was forced to recite the Greek alphabet start to finish and backwards while getting water poured on me in the hole
