Worst trade in the Sam Presti era? I swear some of yall are over reactionary. He was like the 9th-11th man on the bench and got outplayed by McCain. He isn’t needed anymore.
The Isaiah Joe trade is the worst trade of the Sam Presti era.
There's no reason for this other than the ownership is too cheap. Thunder get basically nothing for one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA.
I've never instantly hated a Thunder trade more than this one.
Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see the Yaxel to OKC thing. I don’t understand why yall think Presti would draft a 23-24 year old rookie with a top 10 pick given his track record. Makes no sense
Pretty simple on what Presti should do:
·Let Dort walk.
·Pick up Hartenstein team option or re-sign him for a 2/50 or 3/75 type of deal.
·Trade 12 and 17 for 8, 9 or 10 to ensure Yaxel.
·Extend Cason to a 4/100 type of deal.
·Trade Wiggins and Joe for future picks or an offensive minded wing.
·Re-sign Kenrich to a vet minimum.
2026/27 roster:
1.Shai
2.Chet
3.Jalen
4.Ajay
5.Hartenstein
6.Caruso
7.Cason
8.Jaylin
9.Mccain
10.Sorber
11.Yaxel
12.Kenrich
13.Topic
14.Carlson
15.37th pick or Wing (would have about 10 million to spend on a wing)
In the last 3 weeks Wemby has:
- Intentionally elbowed Naz Reid in the neck
- Called for bench players to try to hurt Thunder players with hard fouls after losing
- Skipped mandatory postgame media
- Yanked Lu Dort’s hair (the exact play Spurs fans wanted IHart arrested for)
All with no additional punishment from the NBA, Wemby being donned as the face of “ethical basketball,” and the narrative from the series being the Thunder whistle and Shai falling in a series they’re shooting less FT with both sides playing physically.
We’re witnessing the biggest mass gaslighting event the sport has ever seen.
SGA SHOULD BE GETTING MORE CALLS
I’m tired of this narrative that he is “flopping” for all his calls, Castle was legitimately playing football out there, never gives landing space, hand checking, etc and SGA doesnt complain. He should be shooting way more fts than he is.
