The Social Justice Action Group at St Patrick's College Strathfield strives to help the community in which we live & advocate for matters of justice & peace.
As we commence the Season of Lent, the SPC community commits itself to growing nature as we grow peace, and ensuring we fast from plastic and excess waste; luxuries of the modern world. May our prayer, fasting and almsgiving be authentic and focused on God #Lent#creation#SPC
Tomorrow is the start of Lent. If you’re still figuring out what to do, check out these ideas in my latest for @cnalive.
I personally will be joining the #pray40 Challenge on the @HallowApp with @JonathanRoumie and Jim Caviezel. #Lent2022

The people are hurting. The nation is crying. It's time to stand up against the injustices in Afghanistan and make a change for the better. It's time for a change! Enough is enough! Inform yourself on what's happening and write to those in power to make a difference. #Afghanistan
Urge the Federal Government to at the very least grant permanent protection visas to Afghani refugees already in Australia and bring them out of detention #GameOver
As we move into #remotelearning SPC thinks of all those who do not have the same good fortune and the increasing numbers of people in need as a result of the pandemic. Our thoughts are with them all and where we can we will help with whatever is needed.
SPC acknowledges and celebrates our First nations peoples and all they have to teach us, as well as all they have achieved. We make a commitment to #HealCountry
