I can tell if a school has effective admin within minutes of walking into the school. I watch the office staff, custodians & faculty interact in the hall, their demeanor & interactions w/other staff & students. It's true everyone impacts culture, but Leadership is the thermostat!
@NicholasFerroni@VivekGRamaswamy This would be damaging to teachers in self-contained settings who work with students with varying disabilities. What would be the criteria by which these students are considered to have “learned.” This type of thinking does not seem equitable or student friendly at all.
Teachers are protesting because we know that abolishing the Department of Education would destroy the last safeguard of equal public education, leaving countless students at the mercy of underfunded, under-resourced, and deeply unequal state systems.
