The SPIB team was honored to host West Fraser for an educational tour. West Fraser is the largest softwood lumber producer in the world. SPIB is proud to provide services to thirteen of their U.S. sawmills.
SPIB team members - Mark Gillis, Joe Hill, Tim Byrd and Truett Marshall were at Idaho Forest Group providing kiln and grader training all this week. We want to give a special thanks to the team at IFG for doing an excellent job setting this training up.

Renovating the interior walls of our lumber testing warehouse by installing some T-111. We found a couple stamps on the studs - TRL represents Two Rivers Lumber in Demopolis, AL and 143 represents Canfor Southern Pine in Mobile, AL.

These boards being tore out of an old house in Erath, LA came from Tremont Lumber Company in Rochelle, Louisiana, which closed down in the early 1940's. Rochelle, LA was a lumber town located not far from the present day town of Georgetown in Grant Parish.
