@RayOfFantasy I understand why people get worried but the thing is most of these shows have other queer characters or don’t show the character as bad because of them being queer.
@TerrenceCh72465 I am glad I opened the comments because this was my thought process. Like I agree she’s transfem but… a lot of men do open up about liking feminine things or get hated for it.
@NighttimeYumes I wouldn’t say that makes you gay because lesbians have fictional crushes on men too.
The action itself I guess is “gay” but I wouldn’t say it makes you gay necessarily, if that makes sense (?)
@_mollycoddles Being attracted to both men and woman is bisexual by definition but sapphillean is more specific to refer to being both a man into men and woman into women and idk how people can’t grasp that. It’s so easy to grasp that it’s to refer to a different thing than just being bi.
@scribblepawz Yeah, people are odd towards micro-labels, who cares if someone doesn’t want to use bisexual?? As long as they’re not being hateful to bi people who cares
@1Fannn63556@redvair A coworker and I were talking about rarity x applejack and how we like it and my coworker mentioned how people say it’s heteronormative and I was like “how, they’re both women?”
@1Fannn63556@redvair Yeah I don’t understand seeing it as heteronormative, they’re both women/non-men.
I agree it can be heteronormative when people project heteronormative ideas onto relationships but it’s not heteronormative by default.
