Disagree? Name the on-screen scene that proves it.
@Marvel_Insights Without Sentry, this hinges on Luke Cage. On screen, bullets and blades bounce off him, and the Thunderbolts* roster mostly fights with guns, knives and serum strength. Who on that team actually hurts him?
SPI rule: trailer feats don't count.
A trailer shot can be recut, unfinished or never make the final film. We score what's on screen in the released movie. Nothing else.
On raw output Strange dwarfs Peter in No Way Home. He still loses the Mirror Dimension fight because Peter solves the space, webs his hands and takes the sling ring. Power sets the ceiling, tactics decide the fight. What upset shows this better?
Never forget when Spider-Man beat
Doctor Strange using Math
You know what’s cooler than magic? Math.
That absolute peak moment from Spider-Man: No Way Home lives rent-free in a lot of heads. In the Mirror Dimension fight, Doctor Strange has Peter on the ropes with his reality-bending sorcery and kaleidoscopic geometry. Then Peter clocks that the place is basically an Archimedean spiral patterns repeating with rotational symmetry.
He starts calculating on the fly (“Square the radius. Divide by pi. Plot points along the curve.”), webs the key intersection points, and traps the Sorcerer Supreme in his own domain. While Strange is yelling “Don’t do this,” Peter hits him with the line and yoinks the sling ring on the way out. Pure brain over magic
@TheXerxesHQ Fair, but it's a different axis of power. Jinora's edge is spiritual: her projection is what guided Korra to Raava in the Season 2 finale. In straight bending combat, Korra still carries every major fight.
@emmywayne64 Depends on the continuity too. In Homecoming the MCU webs start snapping while holding the split ferry, while Raimi's Spider-Man 2 webs stop a runaway train. Same hero, different on screen tensile feats, so scale each version separately.
Today at 5:45 PM CET we score our first character outside the MCU: Eleven from Stranger Things.
One question before it drops: what limits her more, her body or her control?
@David_Da_Boss Worth splitting team and solo here. Eight Avengers took down the Sokovia army, but the last Ultron body in the forest was finished by Vision alone. The open question is which Vision comes back, since the restored one isn't the same build.
Tomorrow we leave the MCU.
Eleven from Stranger Things flipped a van with her mind and closed a gate to another dimension. How high does she score on a scale built for gods and Titans?
Tuesday, 5:45 PM CET.
@Okoro_Dior I'd push back a little: copying a function isn't owning the power. The Mark 42 recalls itself like Mjolnir, yet in Iron Man 3 it keeps falling apart mid fight. Thor's recall is one clean move.
@King_Shark02 Great scene to cite. It's also why her Wakanda moment counts as PEAK, not BASE: split focus and still holding a 5 stone Thanos back. Thanos only got the stone back by rewinding time, not by beating her.
@vikku60879 Depends on what you measure. Endgame Thor is out of shape, yet he still wields Stormbreaker and Mjolnir together and holds his own against Thanos. His mindset dropped, his output didn't. Hulk is the stronger nerf case.
@emmywayne64 Half true. His best airport moment was stealth: he got inside Tony's armor and started pulling wires. Going Giant-Man made him the biggest target, and a web trip plus hits from Tony and Rhodey ended it. Would stealth alone beat Vision, though?
SPI rule: a shield is not durability.
If magic, armor or a force field takes the hit, the body didn't. Shields count as abilities, not toughness.
Which MCU character looks tougher than their body really is?
@finzyy22 Street level shrinks the stakes, not the hero. In Civil War this Peter caught Bucky's metal arm punch and Cap's shield in the same fight. A grounded story just means he finally gets threats his own size.
@animeratio9 Worth splitting two debates: his writing and his power. On screen his final fight with Naruto ended with both losing an arm, so the power hype holds. Whether the character deserves the love is a different score.
@emmywayne64 He'd fooled everyone twice already: Loki let go into the void in Thor, then 'died' in Thor's arms on Svartalfheim in The Dark World before turning up disguised as Odin. Thanos made sure the third time stuck.
@emmywayne64 Fair, though "old man" undersells a super soldier with a vibranium arm. Still, Bob shrugs him off with zero effort. The Thunderbolts never win that fight physically: they reach Bob in the Void, which shows the real power gap.
SPI rule: comics don't count.
We score only what the movie or show puts on screen. No comic feats, no novels, no games.
Which MCU character would lose the most if fans scaled them by the films alone?
@emmywayne64 Worthiness alone doesn't transform you. Love and Thunder reveals Thor once asked Mjolnir to protect Jane, so the shattered hammer bonded to her and remade her. Steve in Endgame was worthy and wielded it, but had no such bond.
