More excellent detective work in Ancient Egypt!

This week Pine Class have travelled back in time to Ancient Egypt to discover artefacts buried in the tunnels and chambers of The Pyramids. We had lots of fun becoming archaeologists and looking at different types of sources.

We had a great time exploring the library today! We learned how to use the Dewey system to find books about Egypt- now we are experts!

What a fantastic start to our new history topic! We have been using our oracy skills to place Ancient Egyptian events on a timeline, thinking about AD and BC times...and then on Friday we created models of a Shaduf, an Ancient Egyptian water lifting device. Excellent teamwork!

What a lovely day to go on a walk around our local area. We have looked at different ways the land is used and the different types of houses in Malvern. We stopped in the sunshine for a spot of sketching!

This afternoon we have been using our geography skills to locate features of Malvern on a map. We have been using OS symbols and using 6 digit grid references, which was super tricky but we had our team mates for support!🤩

This afternoon we have been using our sketch books to respond to a poem and make visual notes.

This morning we are enjoying getting creative, making clay turtles for our eco ocean project. The children are taking so much care and thinking about the patterns on the shells to make them as individual as us! 🐢
