It is time to start ramping up for SCAPPS 2026!! Lots more to be added to the website (https://t.co/53yY1osa3u), but for now, the graphic below gives a good overview.
🚨🚨New publication alert!! Project led by Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Pereira Vargas in the @SPORT_Lab25. This is a scoping review on sport officials' anxiety, stress, and coping: https://t.co/SrJvbrXWnm. It's open access, so have a read! #sportofficials#referee
Continuing on my UK (GB+NI) tour, I attended my first @GAMeS_RG_ conference in London, hosted @WestHam. It was a pleasure to present some of our @SSHRC_CRSH sponsored work on #sportofficials' mental health. Took in a League One and basketball while there!
Continuing my UK tour, it was great to be part of a workshop @covcampus. @DrTomWebb organized the event, focusing on sport officiating research with application to national governing bodies. Amazing to be part of this group!!
My job comes with some great perks, which include being able to make a quick trip to Belfast (@UlsterUni) to visit @KyleParadis and present some of my research. Kyle was an amazing host, showing me the city, taking me to a hockey game, and even getting us a round of golf!
Excited to meet tonight with the @HockeyCanada officials working the #U18Nationals. For the next week, I’ll provide on-site mental performance consulting services to the officials, with the goal of improving their on-ice mental performance. Thanks for the invite @DHanoomansingh
🚨🚨A bit delayed on this one, but another "new" publication out of the @SPORT_Lab25. This one from @TeachTheriault looking at female officials who operate in male-dominated officiating environment: https://t.co/8siaBmfpOP. #jsep
While we're at it, how about another publication from this summer involving the @SPORT_Lab25. This one focused on recruitment/retention strategies for female sport officials: https://t.co/qyCdLqS234
