During the “Oversight at the Seams” panel at the Spring 2026 CREPC-WIRAB meeting, SPP VP of Markets Carrie Simpson emphasized that the foundation for effective seams management already exists and would bring tremendous value to the West.

SPP has been present in the West for more than a decade, well before Markets+ was a named initiative. Even before 2018, when SPP became the administrator of the WIUFMP, SPP worked with Stakeholders around the West to educate on market solutions and other regional opportunities.
