Last week, Pine Class were looking at colour theory in their #art lesson. They mixed their own colours and created “swatch cards” for their colours before mixing colours to match famous paintings from the last 150-years.
In art we have been discovering Dorset landscapes starting with sketching the school fields. Then, exploring landscape paintings by David Hockney and then exploring different painting techniques. We will be putting all of this into practice over the next few weeks. 🎨 🏝️

We put our directional #maths language to the test today and guided our partner around a course. Some of us even managed to do it with our eyes closed! The key language used was: quarter turn, half turn, three quarter turn, full turn and clockwise and anti-clockwise.
In #Science, we explored water transportation in plants using this simple experiment to demonstrate. The children were amazed at how quickly the colours travelled and we can’t wait to see the petals and celery change colour too! 🧫👩🔬🧑🔬

In #PSHE this week, we have been learning all about personal space and being assertive. The children enjoyed role playing how to demonstrate personal space and communicate their needs.
