It’s official. NC patients now have unrestricted direct access to physical therapy! No referral for spinal manipulation will be needed after Oct 1st. Thanks to @NCPTA for leading this effort. https://t.co/tzITQo2xnl
Presenting an in-service on increasing patient motivation/compliance in PT specifically in an IP acute setting. What are studies or subtopics that I should be aware of? Any and all help would be appreciated! #PTCompliance#Motivation#AcutePT#GeriatricPT#ICUrehab

Hey @MIPhysTherAssoc just moved to Ann Arbor and will be starting cardiopulm residency! Would love to connect with fellow PT’s and PTA’s— any networking events coming up in the Ann Arbor area?
As student PTs we need to realize the importance of patient education. An educated patient is more well-equipped to focus on the root of their injury rather than just managing symptoms. We can’t forget about this aspect of therapy, as it is one of our most important tools!
Last week of my peds clinical and going to miss playing with all my little friends 😢 but only 10 weeks left between me and that DPT 🤩👩🏼🎓#PediPT#ChoosePT
We need to educate students on PTA and DPT collaboration so they are equip with the tools to foster a relationship when they get into the clinic. #bettertogether@APTASA@bthuringerPTA @Brittanie_SPTA
Very important findings in this study on knee arthritis!
Particularly that joint space narrowing was not associated with pain progression!
Yet again research shows structure does not predict problems or pain!
Thanks @PeteOSullivanPT for sharing!

Research is beginning to show that BFR is extremely helpful in building muscle hypertrophy at low levels of tensile load. Seems great for post op patients who have WB restrictions or who cannot tolerate maximal loading yet. Thoughts??
@ChaseDuellDPT Thanks chase! Good stuff! Having a supportive and helpful circle of fellow PTs is definitely one of the most valuable tools in your PT toolkit.
@SPTweets2 Keep in touch with your old CIs and even reach out to those you knew before PT school. Never know who may have an opportunity, and always good to keep those contacts up to date!
