I don’t usually post much train info but I have been seeing a lot of posts about the Siemens trams in Hiroshima so I found the old datasheet. It’s in German but you can use translate apps if you need.

I suppose these must be quite rare now. What happened to them?

But somehow, the insane combinations can work out. Indian railways, like many railway companies are known for not showing all the information that people want to know, so I think without knowing what is going on, it is hard to understand the thinking

@ExpressGinga81 The way I see it, I think it is just trying to show everyone they can do it themselves. Which is impressive. Not many countries in the world have developed high speed rail technology. But sometimes it feels like a bragging point, the way it’s shown in the media. Hard to say

Forgot to post German Light Rail.

No Stadtbahn Bs this time but they are not common outside Nordrhein-Westfalen. Still, 100% low floor fleet and the GT6Ns are doing well for 30 years old low floor trams. The Avenios are also really nice. They have done well with the tram here.

@ExpressGinga81 Whether it is the Indian or Japanese trains, they both need to run on the same system. The integration will be an interesting thing to see. I have no idea what they are thinking but I suppose we will have to wait and see.

@AlokPatel Original purpose of the Alstom rubber tire system was conversion from conventional steel wheel lines in Paris in the 1950s. So they had to work within the existing structural gauge and I guess it did not evolve much as the trains got bigger on new systems.

It was good to see the Baureihe A one more time. I have not seen these since 2006. There are only 21 2 car sets now, most of them sitting in Fröttmanning depot.

I think Siemens has finished the last C2s out of the Wien factory now so the Baureihe As will go by end of this year.

Front shape looks like a mix of KTX-EUM with Taiwanese 700T and the sides looks like the ETR 400
