@ZaneJobe @CosyNomad @Virtualgeol I prefer no flight plan also. But gaps in data is a real issue. I just always err on the side of too many photos is better than too few. Fly slow, with a lot of overlap between photos. And I agree, some photos from farther away helps fill any gaps you might have

A Cycadeoid that I collected for @BYUgeology! 4 years ago I found this while in the field, but was living in Aberdeen. So I took a picture and said goodbye. Went back and found it again!

Wolf and bear tracks in Alaska! Saw plenty from the helicopter, but not at the outcrop. Crazy to realize they were so close! Yeah, I know modern tracks aren't #Geology, but I wouldn't have seen them without it!
