Not everyone selling futures is selling spot. Many holders are simply holding ETH or using it as collateral. At some point, derivatives can create paper supply, but they can't create actual ETH. ethereum:native
Exchange balances are already around 7 million ETH, near historical lows, while more players continue buying and withdrawing coins. What happens when we break below 6 million... or even 5 million ETH on exchanges? ethereum:native
I understand that ETH price is currently being suppressed by the futures market, and more volume keeps moving there as participants hedge positions or accumulate exposure for ecosystem farming opportunities.

@TreeSwingn@Andrejs_Silvans@TomLeeTracker When Bitcoin dropped from $60k to $16k, MSTR also traded below 1x NAV at times, even around 0.7x. This is the first real bear market for BitMine.
@TrustlessState@a3voices Is 0.8% really a lot, especially when large companies and funds are entering the market and buying up bigger volumes, plus every year some amount is lost, which could even match that same percentage?
Over the past two years, we’ve been above 4,000 three times and rejected each time. Strange seeing selling here — still a zone that could look cheap later, even if you don’t expect higher prices.

@EthereanVibin Over the past two years, we’ve been taken above 4,000 three times and pushed back down. It’s strange that people are selling now, when you can still exit around this zone — a level that will likely look cheap in the future, even if you don’t believe in higher prices.
@TedPillows You should never go all-in, especially with leverage. The market can't liquidate your spot position. If you have enough money to live comfortably and don't need to pay attention to short-term market moves, investing becomes much easier.

Every additional percentage of ETH removed from the market can have a significant impact on price. At some point, sellers run out while interested buyers remain. That's when supply and demand can start moving the market much faster.

When people ask, "Who is going to push the price higher?", it's worth looking at the numbers. Around 35% of all ETH hasn't moved in more than 3 years, and roughly 25% hasn't moved in over 5 years. A large portion of that supply isn't even staked. ethereum:native $BMNR
Over the last year, companies and ETFs have absorbed more than 10% of the annual supply. And those are only the buyers we can see. There are also private funds, corporations, and large investors that don't show up in public data. ethereum:native @TrustlessState
