@angie_rasmussen The eggs from these ostriches that were recovered in the summer of 2024 have already been tested by my company Kinexus Bioinformatics in Vancouver. All 18 eggs were separately tested using a SPOT peptide array that featured about 40 peptides and shown have H5 and N1 antibodies.
@StudLeeMD Intelligent design by human hackers of organisms and viruses is not always that wise as evidenced by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19. Most of the hacking of life will be for profit and not to the broad benefit of our species and the other creatures that co-habit our planet.
@CaulfieldTim@GidMK@DFisman@DrJenGunter @rkfmiller This report is based on an abstract presented at conference. It relies on measurement of SARS-CoV-2 RNA fragments in waste water that uses a PCR test, likely performed at more than 35 thermal cycles, which has a >90% false positive rate. The data can only be qualitative at best.
#IStandWithJuliePonesse. Dr. Ponesse has demonstrated extraordinary courage for speaking out as an ethics professor on mandatory vaccination and has been fired from Western University as a consequence.
@UbysseyNews Concerned people should check out https://t.co/R6loPo3x5T to obtain a balanced, science and evidence-based appraisal of their risks from COVID-19. There is no real need for mandatory vaccinations and masks in healthy adults at UBC.
@glenpyle@Wontevertweet27 @Aly_Meek @WesternU While the RNA vaccines are injected into muscle, the Pfizer report to the Japanese regulatory agency clearly shows broad distribution. The endothelial cells lining up the blood vessels will also take up the vaccine and display the spike protein on their surface.
@glenpyle@Wontevertweet27 @Aly_Meek @WesternU You need to consider that the 0.3 pM concentration does not necessarily reflect local concentrations at the site that the spike protein may be produced.
13,000 genes from 862 marine species have already been patented by companies in developed countries. Delegates from undeveloped countries at the UN feel that this is unfair, but it is probably in their countries' best interests that such patents exist. https://t.co/cXh0EtgYlp
Dr. George Church has started yet another genomics company called Nebula Genomics with the unrealistic promise that sequencing your genome will change your life in just a couple of years. https://t.co/hbq7U2Pu0r
Romantic love between faculty and students is now unacceptable in Australia. By the same argument, any romance between a supervisor and a subordinate employee in a company should also be unacceptable. https://t.co/x9nlDoqKw5
Dan Gibson and others at Synthetic Genomics are trying to develop a "Digital to Biological Converter" to make vaccines against viruses and other pathogenic organisms. There are much better, faster, cheaper and safer ways. https://t.co/qMjBGh0vIQ
23andMe's founder Anne Wojcicki claims their clients don't need experts to understand BRCA1 and BRCA2 cancer gene mutations, since people were able to understand home pregnancy tests fine. Cancer risk is not the same as finding out that one is pregnant. https://t.co/rLy2xCj5bA
Deep-sea sea stars from the Arctic have well-developed eyes in the dark. Just another amazing fact about one of the most evolutionary advanced species on our planet. https://t.co/oh4voiqUtA
New blood test for Alzheimer's disease published in Nature and based on beta-amyloid peptide levels has some major issues that make it likely to be unreliable and too costly. https://t.co/jp08EyZogF
