@sephiramy by the time CR tweeted, the accusation had 2k+ likes and many prominent members of the community asking for answers. No answer from them would mean they're actively ignoring it; the answer they gave had to be that specific 'cuz the reasons i've said. Just a very tough situation.

@sephiramy If they had another completely different problem in the background, a vague tweet could be used by this hypothetical as an acknowledgment of other allegations. Meaning: "In this tweet you announced you looked into our allegations, so you know they happened" kind of situation.

If they said something vague like "we are looking into the accusations from someone" they could be opening up themselves to all sorts of legal problems. That language has been used to damage a lot of people
