@FionaMattatall I’ve been waiting a long time for a neck MRI. Fell and hurt my neck. My arms have been numb and it hurts to swallow since. 24 months by the time I get to it in December. They keep telling me my care is improved with this. 🐂 💩

As someone who had a long, complicated surgery that absolutely changed my life (and saved a kidney beyond all the other organs and helping my spinal trunk), this seriously concerns me for others needing the same.

Would this also affect open heart surgery, organ transplants?

@Landonforward14 This is not the take you think it is. The changes will cause people to fall through the cracks. When they do, they land in the city in the most in expensive way possible. City social service, emergency services, shelters, etc. Failure to address the root cause will cost you.

@cassko @agirlopinions @daleethompson Giving someone the option of no real care or MAID is coercion. We were already more likely to be denied a vent during COVID. It’s not good when someone else either decides you don’t deserve decent QoL, or that you just could never have a decent QoL because of disability.

@daleethompson Except it’s not "voluntary or dignified" when instead of being offered the supports and treatments people need instead doctors and nurses are suggesting to patients that MAID is either their best or only option—this is called coercion through denial of adequate care.
