Great question!

We built a backend dashboard for Traffic Management Centers to log road incidents and escalate them directly to first responders like EMS and the FRSC. For the public-facing app, we created a "Check the Road" feature. This feature gives users real-time updates on recent road incidents. For example, if a crash is reported on Awoyaya Drive, a user can search that specific road to see if the hazard is still active or if it has already been cleared.

1.34 million people died on the world's roads in 2023. Over 90% of them in low- and middle-income countries.

43.8 deaths per 100,000 in low-income countries vs 7.5 in high-income ones. With low-incoming countries doing nearly 6×.

200,000+ of those deaths a year are avoidable with better post-crash care.
