💔 "A motorist struck and killed a woman in a wheelchair in an early Monday morning hit and run collision in Licton Springs" on the 9800 block of Aurora. Our hearts go out to this person and their loved ones.
Aurora Ave is Seattle's most dangerous street and must be fixed ASAP!
Wow, sobering slide from SDOT's presentation to the @SeattlePed this evening. Aurora is the deadliest street in the city, with 17% of all fatalities citywide.

we should be moving this concrete barrier on aurora from the center to this outside lane and turn it into a 2 way protected path. @GLWstreets has proposed this, it's great to see it in practice!

@seattledot The plan, which @GLWstreets has been advocating for, would use a heavy jersey barrier to protect a two-way biking and walking path from highway traffic to connect the southwest and north ends of the lake.
The @SeaTimesOpinion wrote in 1930 that the Aurora project "must be paid for not in money alone, but in the blood of the children who are entitled, first to safe passage to their schools and second, to safety in their parks—a thing which this speedway would absolutely deny."

With the new protected bike lanes on East Green Lake Drive-Way and West Green Lake Way, we have the opportunity to create a complete outer loop of Green Lake Park for people to safely bike, walk, and jog.
Tell Seattle city leaders to complete the loop!

Work is delayed to build a tiny house village on Aurora Avenue because the Low-Income Housing Institute that owns the site insisted on demolishing a motel next door where homeless people stayed. Reporting by @evergreenstone

Pedestrian Alie Kabba, 55, was killed after being struck by a pickup on Seattle's Aurora Avenue North. The pickup's driver is accused of fleeing the scene and leading police on a miles-long, high-speed pursuit that ended north of Federal Way. https://t.co/tHjDDOArfE
A green, tree-lined, car-free Aurora Avenue - critics might say it's impossible, but this kind of monumental re-visioning is exactly what's needed to meet Seattle's climate goals, and build healthy, connected communities. https://t.co/3IKDiy1K2r via @urbanistorg
