This fellowship honors the legacy of two courageous journalists, Samim Faramarz and Ramiz Ahmadi, who dedicated their lives reporting the truth in Afghanistan.

Today marks 8 years since we lost Samim Faramarz and Ramiz Ahmadi. In their memory, we’re proud to announce the 2nd cohort of Samim Ramiz Fellowship — 5 Afghan journalists beginning six-month placements with local newsrooms and mentorship from journalists overseas.
