An excellent day yesterday meeting supporters of @SwanRailway T3 No.563 and showing them progress. It's going to be something very special when finished!

Progress on №563, the elegant last-surviving L&SWR T3 Class loco (b.1893, last steamed 1948, gifted to @SwanRailway Trust by @railwaymuseum in 2017) has been exclusively revealed to @SRT563LG supporters at the Flour Mill in Glos. Re-wheeled last week, re-steaming is due 2023.
This weekend I was invited to see a very special railway engine under full restoration, LSWR No.563, at Bill Parker’s Flour Mill workshop. It is the most *in*credible survivor and one of the most elegant steam locos still extant. Video for @SteamRailway coming soon.
Season's greetings from our Honorary President, Philip Williams!
There's more exciting news to follow in the new year but in the meantime, have a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to a much happier and more prosperous year for 563...
