Hermos@s Colegas Colombianos, lamento profundamente el devastador terremoto que afectó hoy a vuestro hermoso pais.

Habiendo regresado recien de una visita a cinco de vuestras instituciones #BPSO de servicios de salud y académicas en Bogotá y Bucaramanga, siento una cercanía muy especial con nuestros colegas, amigos y comunidades de todo el pa��s. He estado en contacto hoy von muchos de ustedes, y espero llegar a muchos mas a través de redes sociales.

Nos alivia saber que, hasta el momento, las instituciones que auditiriamos no han reportado daños. Al mismo tiempo, mis pensamientos están con todas las personas en las zonas más afectadas y, especialmente, con las enfermeras y enfermeros, profesionales de la salud y demás trabajadores de hospitales, clínicas y centros de salud que en estos momentos están cuidando de sus comunidades.

Esperamos sinceramente que los servicios de salud y las comunidades afectadas puedan recuperarse con prontitud y continuar su labor esencial con la calidad, dedicación y profesionalismo que pude apreciar personalmente durante mi reciente visita.

Dear Colombian colleagues, I am deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that struck Colombia today. Having just returned from #BPSO audits and celebrations with five health-care and academic institutions in Bogotá and Bucaramanga, I feel a particularly close connection to our colleagues, friends and communities across the country.

I am relieved to learn that, so far, the institutions we recently visited have not reported damage. At the same time, our thoughts are with everyone in the areas most severely affected, and especially with the nurses, health professionals and other workers in hospitals, clinics and health-care centres who are caring for their communities during this difficult time.

We sincerely hope that affected health services and communities can recover quickly and continue their vital work with the quality, dedication and professionalism that I witnessed firsthand during my recent visit.

To our colleagues and friends in Colombia: we are thinking of you and stand in solidarity with you
