After serving in the @BritishArmy, George became overwhelmed by anxiety and debt. Masking his stress through drink, he was at risk of being made homeless. Then George’s grandparents gave him @SSAFA's Forcesline number.

At the end of #WW2, there were some 5 million servicemen and women in the British Armed Forces. The demobilisation and reassimilation of this vast force back into civilian life was one of the great challenges facing our volunteers at branch offices like @SSAFA Sussex in Hastings.
