Today SSGC's Counter Gas Theft Operation Wing conducted a raid with SSGC Police on a bakery at Scheme 33, Fancy Heights, Karachi. Culprit was using gas directly from distribution pipeline through rubber pipe. Total Connected Load was around 1,385 cft/ hour. FIR was lodged against owner M. Asif Raza who was apprehended on the spot. Appropriate gas theft claim will also be raised against him.

20” dia. North City Main pipeline was damaged by third party near KDA Chowrangi, North Nazimabad on September 11, 2023 at around 10:30 pm. Isolation of the relevant portion was carried out by 11:30 pm last night due to which gas supply to North Nazimabad Blocks - A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H & I, has been affected.
Repair work is nearing completion and gas to these blocks will be restored by 10:00 am this morning. Inconvenience is regretted.

During this time period, gas supply to following areas will be affected:
a) Aga Khan Uni Hospital b) Liaquat National Hospital
c) Central Prison Karachi and PIB Colony.
d) PECHS (all blocks).
e) KDA Society Dhoraji Society and adjacent areas.

The first phase of the 30' dia. x 116-km gas transmission pipeline project from Hyderabad to Karachi was inaugurated today by Imran Maniar, MD, SSGC at RS-4 Jhimpir. SSGC's Technical Services division completed the 1st phase that comprised laying down 30' dia. x 32-km line from Baran to Jhimpir in Sindh, in a record time of 40 days. The line has been laid to meet the increased demand of SSGC customers. The first segment will increase pipeline capacity to 60 mmcfd and with the completion of all three phases the pipeline will supply around 247 mmcfd gas to the local population. Senior management and departmental heads were present at the inauguration. #SSGC
