Canada has been investing in midwifery in South Sudan for over a decade. Amb. @JoanneMinns_CAN participated in a dialogue with Parliamentarians to accelerate the enactment of the Nursing and Midwifery Bill & support these key professions in the health workforce.
The sign language training for nurses and midwives was aimed at bridging the gap that too often leaves people in silence. It was about learning to speak a language that is not spoken with the voice but with the heartβthe language of sign.
