I’ve discovered this about myself, too. Unlike when I was a kid, I can generally stop playing a game partway through, not touch it for months, then finally go back to it. I run into the same problem - “where was I? What are the controls? What quest was I on?” Insightful…
I've kinda always had an issue with the modern term "creators". Nothing against YouTubers, and it's really Google's fault the term exists, but oftentimes it's just people making videos of stuff that other people actually *created*.
does "creators" only apply to those who just made video content or can it also include those that actually make things for the communities they are a part of
@JeffreyBrandes Still, I do appreciate your willingness to discuss issues on this platform and continue to be approachable. That part of you has never changed.
@JeffreyBrandes So they have to pay a few hundred more per year in service fees, or an increased local sales tax. Dependency is not a libertarian principle.. but VOLUNTARYISM is. Service fees and sales taxes are from activities you CHOOSE to engage in, instead of paying an obligatory local fiat.
@spacebruce I can provide you both via an NTSC unit. I’ll also play PAL on an emulator and compare. Do you have game clock changes depending on region?
To go along with the sequel announcement: for a limited time, the first game is free to grab on Steam! 🎮
✨That's FREE as in F-R-E-E, no strings attached!✨
Claim the game while the offer is available, and keep it forever!

Ratchet & Clank is like the 3D version of Earthworm Jim, done right.
Spaceship->Pocket Rocket
Clank->Peter Puppy
Dr Nefarious->PMFH crossed with QPBFSPMSFAB
Lots of wacky weapons and Tex Avery-style animation.
Perhaps the most major deviation is that the personality of the main character is more 'Princess Whats-Her-Name' while the side character Captain Qwark is more like Jim, but with an extra dose of ego.
@ArtMacro@Gumidess Depends on the emulator. FPGA’s stated goal is the former - machine accuracy for historical preservation. The 32X FPGA core had to be updated due to an issue we found. Homebrew can be a great way to find improvements, especially for lesser known and under-published hardware!
Just because a machine is old, doesn't mean the emulation has been perfected. Sometimes testing on real hardware is the only way.
Look at how that framerate tanks in the first second or two! It's amazing how far we've come.
This was the first attempt at "copper" skies, pre-0.1. Most emulators didn't even support them, and ones that did had different results. When tested on hardware, it just didn't work right. A few weeks after 0.1 released, Chilly Willy fixed the bug in his interrupt handler.
@yuzokoshiro Thank you! We are working on a Super 32X project that will be using the SSF Sega Mapper and would be interested in knowing where we could source carts.
