Providence with a GUTSY road win to open Big East play. Beat DePaul 70-63
The Friars needed that one badly. BHop showed out, and Oswin continues to develop. Kudos to English for making the 2nd half line-up switch
A lot to fix offensively, but it’s nice to be 1-0 in conference
Providence's Oswin Erhunmwunse deserves a massive shout-out
Played huge minutes down the stretch for English. Finished with 3 blocks and a few thunderous dunks.
Already a freak athlete. The ceiling is very high.
Nate Watson (2022 PIT, Providence) earned Player of the Week honors in Greece for Karditsas with 22 points and 9 rebounds in an 87-70 win over Lavrio. Watson's 1st season in Greece has been a success: he's 10th in scoring (15.2 ppg) and 5th in rebounds (7.2 rpg). @PCFriarsmbb
Providence's Bensley Joseph against DePaul tonight
- 20 PTS
- 8/16 FGs
- 7 AST
- 4 REB
- 0 TO
- 41 MIN
Few massive baskets down the stretch. Friars force OT and head home with a win.
Weekend read. Wrote about Bryce. He can do things on the basketball court that a lot of other D1 hoopers just can't do. Raw talent.
He obviously opens up the offense a good bit but 23 was an extremely dynamic defender pre injury too. If he finds that, we got a real chance.
Credit to Providence fans
These Friars looked like they needed a jolt of energy. The AMP provided it tonight. Still the best homecourt advantage in the Big East.
Providence starters tonight vs. BYU:
Christ Essandoko
Wesley Cardet
Corey Floyd
Jayden Pierre
Oh and someone Friar fans have been waiting 11 months to see...Bryce Hopkins.
