♦️Today, 25 May, 2020, 10 new COVID-19 cases confirmed.
The total COVID-19 confirmed cases are now 222.
🔺9 new cases are from the Points of Entry while 1 new case is a contact to a previously confirmed truck driver.
The contact was under quarantine at the time of test.

All 555 samples tested today, were NEGATIVE for COVID-19. The number of discharged patients is now 4 including the index case. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Uganda stands at 53.

610 contacts to the confirmed cases are under follow up while a total of 654 individuals have been discharged from quarantine centers. #STAYSAFEUG
Countrymen, Countrywomen and the Bazukulu. The latest about the Covid-19 situation in our country is that today (Sunday), 206 individuals, mainly returnees from the Gulf and Europe, were tested and only 3 tested positive. All these have been in institutional quarantine.
3 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed today, Sunday 29 March 2020. Total number of confirmed cases stands at 33 in Uganda.

By virtue of powers granted to me by the Constitution, I have appointed Mr John Musinguzi Rujoki as the new Commissioner General of @URAuganda. This appointment takes immediate effect.
My team has notified me about a forged tweet reportedly saying I have ordered a total lockdown of the country. That is false. Like I indicated earlier, I will keep the country informed of any new measures to curb Covid-19 through the usual channel of a live broadcast.
