From the moment we enter this world, we are told what to do: go to school, get money, find a job, find love, care about this, and don't care about that.

Slowly, we are molded into obedient sheep, most of us never realizing the fence they put around us.

Some of us wanted to escape, believing that Blockchain would be our way to freedom, a rebellion against the system we were born into.

A chance to rewrite the rules and break free from the confines of societal control.

But as we immersed ourselves in this new world, we discovered that the very things we wanted to escape had followed us there.

We found a new god in the shape of a green ticker and some likes and retweets.

We made prophets of those who made money, following them, hoping they could save us too.

We searched for digital communities to make us feel less alone, only to find that they saw us as mere dollar signs.

And so, we began to see them as dollar signs too.

We traded real life for an online one, finding ourselves addicted to looking at others' comparing ourselves, getting caught up in their drama, imagining it’s our own.

Doing anything to feel anything.

Our happiness now based on a number sign, and the opinions of people we have never met.

We tweet, shouting into the void, hoping to be heard, hoping that someone cares. But no one cares, so we stopped caring too.

We came here to escape, but we cannot escape ourselves.

And maybe that is life. Maybe there is no true escape.

Maybe this new world will just become a copy of the old.

Maybe we are all just sheep.

But maybe, just maybe, realizing that is the first step to breaking free.
