As part of our commitment to #CyberSecurity the NCA has officially launched the South Sudan Computer Incident Response Team @SS_CIRT which is a specialised unit that brings together experts from both the private & public sector to identify & mitigate cyber threats in the country.
Today, we officially launched the South Sudan Computer Incident Team( @SS_CIRT) as the institution tasked with safeguarding our nation against cyber threats. A secure digital environment is paramount to our nation's prosperity, security and public trust and as we progressively adopt online services that enhance the lives of our citizens, it is imperative that we remain vigilant against the associated risks.
The establishment of the CIRT is a direct response to these challenges and serves as a crucial component in safeguarding our technological advancements and ensuring the resilience of our digital systems against emerging threats.
Our long-term vision for the SS-CIRT is to see it transform into a centre of excellence in cybersecurity not just for our country but regionally. Through continuous capacity building, collaboration and innovation, the SS-CIRT will serve as a reliable protector of our nation's digital assets and a pioneer in cybersecurity best practices.
Cybersecurity is a challenge that requires strong partnerships and shared responsibility. The SS-CIRT will collaborate closely with government institutions, private sector entities, academic institutions and international partners to build a unified front against cyber threats.
This marks the beginning of our longterm commitment to securing our nation’s digital future.
