Georgia is suspending standardized testing for the upcoming school year & formal teacher evals and are seeking to permanently cut certain tests. This will also save $10's of millions from the budget that can be used toward teacher pay, etc. Let's hope other states step up!

Any politician (regardless of party) that adds anything to the stimulus bill that is not related to the issues caused by this current pandemic is no better than someone who loots during a disaster. This is nothing less than looting the tax payers.
The ECS will be closed beginning Tuesday, March 17. Schools will be open tomorrow (Monday), however, all absences will be excused. Parents of students with medications at school should contact the school nurse to make arrangements for pick-up if the medication is needed at home.
A school Superintendent said something profound in his address cancelling school for the next 3 weeks. “In the end, it will be impossible to know if we overreacted or did too much, but it will be QUITE apparent if we under reacted or did too little.”

SCHOOLS: Please don't use PDF documents to post your Covid-19 plans. Many low-income people use their smartphones, rather than a computer, and it's often difficult or impossible to open a PDF. Not to mention, it takes more data to download them and some people have limited data.
