@Tales_Muniz123, assisti o https://t.co/AkAtXR0VeH e achei a argumentação interessante. +
"We pray, therefore, not only for the unwilling, but also for the objecting and resisting. What, then, do we ask, but that from unwilling they may be made willing; from objecting, consenting; from resisting, loving?"
— St. Augustine (Contra Pelagianorum IV, 26)
"What good did I bring, that You should have mercy on me and justify me? What did You find in me except only sins? Nothing in me is Yours except the nature You created; the rest are my evils, which You have wiped away."
— St. Augustine (In Psalmum 58, Sermo 1:19)
—São Bonaventura, Breviloquio, (I, IX, 7).
Incarnation only because of the Fall implies that we need Jesus only for forgiveness of sins, for justification.
Incarnation even apart from the Fall fits with the idea that God wants us united to Christ, and in him with the Triune God.
“The principle of knowing, or the formal object of revealed theology, is divine revelation, and indeed, for the present state of the Church, mediated revelation, which is contained in the Sacred Scriptures as sensible signs.” - Bl. Johann Wilhelm Baier, Compendium Theologiae Positivae, Prol., ch. 2, § 1
"What was indeed promised in mercy is yet due in justice. Thus it is a crown of righteousness that Paul expecteth; but of God's righteousness; not of his own. It is forsooth just that God should pay what He oweth; but it is what He hath promised that He oweth. This then is the righteousness upon which the Apostle presumeth, namely, God's fulfilment of His promise; lest, if, disdaining this righteousness, he would establish his own, he be not subject to the righteousness of God;" - St. Bernard of Clairvaux, De Gratia et Libero Arbitrio (ch. 14)
