"Russia is a long-term threat. In its DNA is imperialism and expansion.
Together with our allies, we will make sure that Russia will never again attack one of its neighbours."
- Alexander Stubb
President of Finland
I simply like him😉🫡
I am french (Normandy), and I'll always stand for Ukraine.
Putin is a war criminal, but in my country some politicians like @MLP_officiel adore him, and always refused to vote financial aid for Ukraine in the EU parliament.
Belarusian oppositioner, actor, film director, screenwriter, public activist @SIKORA_slava:
"History has never seen such shame. First, Ukraine, without a navy of its own, destroys Russia's Black Sea Fleet, and now, without even entering Crimea, begins to liberate it."

Finland’s President Alexander Stubb on Ukraine's future:
Number one, Ukraine is going to be European.
It's going to be an EU member state and eventually a NATO member state.

"The European Union cannot and will not be a party to any agreement that legitimises the illegal seizure of territory. That includes Crimea.
Crimea is Ukraine. This is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of international law."

Well said...
nothing to add..😉
He did not live to stand trial. On June 26, 2026, Sergei Ivanov—one of the key figures in Putin's inner circle, former Russian defense minister, former head of the presidential administration, and presidential envoy—died. Ivanov's death at age 73 was confirmed by the Kremlin, although no cause of death was disclosed.
According to the author, Ivanov would have sat alongside Putin in the dock in The Hague.
Carefully staying in the shadows, skillfully concealing his actions, and occupying positions with often unclear responsibilities, he nevertheless became the center of one major public scandal because of his son, Alexander.
On May 20, 2005, Alexander Ivanov fatally struck 68-year-old Svetlana Beridze at a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing. She died at the scene. At the time, Sergei Ivanov was serving as Russia's Minister of Defense.
Police found no criminal offense in the younger Ivanov's actions. According to the account, overnight the pedestrian crossing was repainted in a different location, making it impossible for accident reconstruction experts to confirm that the collision had occurred at the marked crosswalk while the victim had the right of way.
From that point on, Sergei Ivanov became noticeably more cautious. Neither he nor his family attracted significant public attention again, avoiding further scandals and publicity.
As befitted a former intelligence officer, the author concludes, Sergei Ivanov died quietly, his death coming as a sudden surprise.

You have to see this! South Korea shows how to defend against a drone swarm
During drills on the country's west coast, 50 drones simulated a low-altitude swarm attack.
Eight Vulcan air defense guns shot down 44 drones with concentrated barrage fire. The remaining six were taken out using a portable laser system and shotguns.
It's how South Korea is preparing for one of modern warfare's biggest threats: coordinated drone swarm attacks.
