@MiddleOhio @Rosschastainfan Obviously without good track position they'll never know how good of a car it could've been up toward the front but I still think the practice times were especially misleading. There was a reason so many cars waited to go out until the early guys put down rubber on the track.

@MiddleOhio @Rosschastainfan I never thought much of the practice speeds for ANY of the earlier guys on track, which Chastain was one a part of. Not one of the first out like the #88 was but he they (#1) didn't wait so his first five laps were the best of the early guys. His 15 lap avg dropped like a ROCK..

Then people that DID decide to go have an experience like that... Just imagine what it will be if Chicagoland is scheduled next year...

He definitely screwed up at San Diego, but I don't recall any issues he's caused at ovals this year. Zero issues even considering his lack of NextGen experience..
