@bianca_nobilo Thanks for this. I learned a great deal. I've been doing a very deep dive into my Carpathian Basin heritage, Arpad, Aba, Bathory, Avar and Szekely mostly. Shah Ismail I seemed familiar, reddish hair and fair skin, so I looked. We are indeed genetically linked. Ancient DNA is fun!

Thanks, this is most informative. My ancestry is Belarusian, Polish and Ukrainian. Putin does not like to discuss the Norse roots of the Rus, primarily Swedish. I have three genetic relatives among the Viking warriors found at Salme, Estonia. The name Yasinskii appears in the Register of Cossacks 1649, my real surname.
