Couple thoughts on this.
1. Buy the biggest tank and biggest boom so you can cover huge acres when the weather is good. Spray as much as you can when the conditions are perfect it atleast better.

2. I like to protect the drift with boom height. Drive slow. Stay close to the ground with 10 inch nozzle spacing. I know you have the flat ground there that could be sprayed at sub 15 inch boom height.

3. Adjuvants. Non ionic vegtable oil based.

4. I protect the fine droplets with course droplets. Alternating twin fan and flat fan nozzles. Explained here.

New 160 ft 2140 tank customer called me yesterday morning. In one day (16 hours) . He covered 2500 acres. So 156.25 acres per engine hour. This included filling, transport, folding and clean outs. What is the overall acres per engine hour on your sprayer ?

As of the end of May, nearly 6.7 ma of corn is left to plant, or 93%. The 5 eastern states are too wet and KS is too dry. Risk is increased this year due to high input costs and low prices. Thus, odds increase for more PP acres after time passes the preventive planting date.

SPC holding Day 5 and Day 6 outlooks into next week and just a large discussion as we enter a very active pattern with a more classic and even outbreak looking patter for the plains with shortwaves and big trough in the West and large ridge in the East. Perfect warm sector and this is what May was kind of missing but June.....oh man we cooking likely well into Mid-June.

There are 11 ma left of soybeans to plant, as of the end of May. Their PP date is about 2 weeks later than that of corn. PP for soybeans will be higher than they were in 2025, just like for corn.
