@assempebwa @MoWT_Uganda But seriously, how can Uganda have only one economic road from the main border, how shall we achieve 24/7 trade in the country. Economically Ministry of works should prioritize this road. Business men count losses coz of jam and delays on the road.

@mkainerugaba I wish it was upcountry roads! There is that stretch from Mitooma to Rukungiri town that can connect well tourists to Kanungu.

It's a common knowledge that railways go to the East from Kampala and it's only fair that people along that stretch get access. It's not by choice that they stay that side. Take a walk please to those villages and appreciate as opposed to boardroom decisions.

Your argument would hold water if you had closed all the crossings including Namanve industrial park ones. The fact that you left them means that the same people who work in namanve need roads to go to work in Namanve park and other amenities.

While interacting with the Contractor today 6/05/24, he said that crossings from Namanve-Kisenyi, Namilyango-kitale ,kazi road connecting UCU & kitale,Gwafu,Njelele,Chungu & Katikolo will be closed completely as an order from Ug railways.
