@VividProwess He obviously expected all the other countries to come help once the Strait of Hormuz was closed. It seemed like the entire plan was more or less scrapped when they didn't.
@GrindeOptions If I'm buying to just hold onto it forever, $115 feels about right. I'd want 15% under the IPO price. Maybe it will get there in September.
@shaguncrypto So its value will exceed the GDP of the entire world?
And its value will also be equal to the value of every other stock in the world, COMBINED?
To get a 50x return in 4 years, you're going to have to invest in a much smaller company (and get super lucky).
@WatcherGuru Of course it isn't actually real money though, it's all based on value achieved from the release of a small 5% float. Manufactured scarcity to inflate value. Very smart move, just like making old Teslas very expensive before releasing all the cheapo ones.
@GrindeOptions This is what happens when you sell 5% of the float and your name is Elon Musk. There are also a large number of idiots out there comparing the price PER SHARE to that of other companies. Me thinks the day of reckoning is approaching for many people.
@drayinvests People are buying in now who are comparing the price per share to that of other companies, thinking that somehow correlates, this is how truly stupid it has become. If the stock is really worth more than the IPO price, why didn't Elon price it higher?
@GodsBurnt Alibaba was also the largest IPO in history at the time and the mania was quite similar. Today those shares go for just 20% more than what the closing price was on day one, 12 years later, with 40% inflation occurring during that span. Good luck to you.
@pdicarlotrader I have a feeling it'll be the next Alibaba - plenty of incoming investment to basically go nowhere fast. 10+ years later it may still be near the ipo price.
@VIPWagers At least you put your money where you believed it had the best value, making your own choice based on your own skills and ability. Like anything else, you get better with experience. Playing someone else's picks would take all the pleasure out of it.
