#STATAFRIC#CoDGs2025#AfricaData#Statistics#Agenda2063#Justice
Today, at the 19th Session of the Committee of Directors General of National Statistics Offices @statafric (CoDGs) in Addis Ababa, I underscored the imperative to advance SHaSA 2 through harmonized methodological frameworks, including data reprocessing for comparability, and coordinated implementation across levels, in line with the African Charter on Statistics.
These efforts foster timely, reliable statistics attuned to African contexts, reinforcing Agenda 2063 via enhanced capacity and quality assurance.
I highlighted AI driven modernization to optimize NSO processes with requisite ethical safeguards, enabling real time disaggregated data for inclusive policymaking under the 2025 AU Theme: Justice for Africans through Reparations.
Health expenditure should never push families into financial hardship.
A partnership between @WHOAFRO and @statafric is helping African countries strengthen #HealthData systems to track how resources are used, monitor financial protection and ensure no family faces hardship to get care.
