1st grade @CameronElem tested their boat designs for how much weight is could hold before tipping over or sinking. They enjoyed engineering boats with upcycle materials after a Float or Sink Experiment.
@MadridTess @ParklawnFCPS It’s super awesome- but private information of full student names being visible is a legal no-no, and you should replace it with a blurred/censored vid, or the audio as post. I’m fcps too, and just trying to keep you safe as well.
What’s your #TeacherAppreciationWeek story?
My favorite HS art teacher, Doc Lewis, made me feel human & connected in a dark time of my teen years, and I owe her for keeping her eye on me and her heart open. She is part of why I pursued teaching art myself and I am so grateful.

Check out our 6th graders @CameronElem presenting to 2nd graders their LEGO EV3 robots they programmed to dance. Some built creative bodies to go on top. @STEAMforALL@FCPSSTEAM
6th graders @CameronElem helped sort the new LEGO Mindstorms kits. Thank you @FCPSSTEAM for all your hard work with the Boeing Edison Pyramid Grants. We are VERY excited.
Look at these collaborating 3rd grade engineers in action @CameronElem! This is one of my all-time favorite design challenges to build temporary survival tents on a life-size scale. So much creativity and POGs in action. @FCPSSTEAM
When growth mindset is becoming normalized, “It’s not impossible, you’re just giving up to early!” Says one 4th grader unprompted to another in today’s STEAM challenge. Oh, my teacher heart!!! @CameronElem
Last one for today, I’ll get the rest shared next week. This group took a different approach and had to innovate paper application to avoid splattering the audience!
