Every single school should be working to figure out how to double plan time for teachers.
The US requires more instructional minutes from teachers than almost any other country in the world (Argentina and Chile are the only two higher than us).

Why are we more ferociously than ever pulling kids out of their classrooms to be taught in hallways? How does being constantly interrupted to be taught isolated & decontextualized skills assist in learning? This is not an example of least disruptive environment.
Remember, the system will reward your compliance and complacency. With just enough power to continue to give you the illusion of freedom. When you step outside your lane, you will be reminded, punished, or removed.
Or you can break free.
Or you can fight back.
You wouldn’t plant a seed and then dig it up every few days to see if it has grown. Why then do we do this with kids? We HAVE to stop testing them to death and instead nurture & normalize the process of growing & learning. @DrJamesLane
I don’t want to go back to normal. Normal wasn’t working. I want to go back to better; using the valuable lessons we’ve learned during this time to reimagine what school could be. #innovation#hopewellmagic
Many t’s have risen to the challenge of teaching virtually.Remember, just bc this form of learning is new to us all, doesn’t mean it’s ineffective. We have no idea yet the positive & transformational effects this time will have on our students & families.
