The ST Foundation Environment Awards is proud to announce partnership with @mungnyiniifarms and affiliates to grow 100000 trees before the summer of 2022 planting season.
This partnership will help our efforts to plant a million trees in The Gambia. It will help provide employment for women and youth in rural Gambia who will be growing these trees under the partnership.

In The Gambia, majority of the population are dependent on firewood for cooking. This is seriously contributing towards deforestation in the country.
Investment and support in alternate energy sources is needed to reduce this dependency.
We are currently witnessing a rapid and serious depletion of our forests and the ST Foundation believes that growing trees and serving as agents of change will help protect the environment for present generation and generation yet unborn.
“Fighting climate change requires collective efforts and I am happy to use my voice and platform to raise awareness and call for action on the need to protect our environment.” ~ ST
“Besides the annual award, which will be held at a special event, the Foundation will work with organisations and communities to grow trees especially the endangered tree species.” Read more about the environment awards on https://t.co/ie70HP0B52
