Screen Time Is Cancelled Podcast

A comedy podcast by two parents talking through tough subjects, like why kids television is awful & needs to stop.

Have you had enough of kids shows about generic low-stakes rescue squads? Well so have we! But the Children's Cartoon Complex marches along regardless.

This week we're talking supers, were talking Christmas, we're talking sleeping, all the hits.

Just like those dinosaurs in 1993, We're Back!

And we're touching the most important topics on the internet today:

- Talking Animals (Scaredy Cats)
- 90's Nickelodeon Nostalgia (Legends Of The Hidden Temple 2016)

@mom_needsalife You might need to go back to the store, you forgot snacks 😬

@itsdeenalang ...how else do you charge it?

@Tired_Dad_of_2 @MumInBits I actually have a favorite spoon now 🤷‍♀️

🚨New Episode Siren!🚨
Would you believe there are STILL more shows about cars that arguably save the day? It's a problem. It'll never stop.

This week we watched Blaze & The Monster Machines and talked about free money and pickle booze and Christmas

(Side note if you don't use @reelgoodapp, it's a great service - tells you where to stream things and sends them right to your TV when you're ready to watch.)

We have one thing to say to our fellow #AreYouAfraidOfTheDark fans:
"That's SarDOT!"

@la_SUZANITA The remake one is really good too! Check it out!

@ErikaArivett We enjoyed S1 also - I hear S2 is supposed to be more like the original show, and I really liked the kids they recast TMS with, so I'm here for it!

[Matt Tamanini @BWWMatt]

A lot of people my age bring up #AreYouAfraidOfTheDark during spooky season, but we don’t talk enough about #EerieIndiana.

Now, I loved both shows, but “Eerie, Indiana” deserves more credit for being a great gateway to weird, creepy, mysterious stories back in the day!

✨New!✨ For Episode 40 we watched something we didn't completely hate maybe? The highest rated (so we're told) episode of #AreYouAfraidOfTheDark. It went... well it went, anyway. 🎧Listen here!🎧

ICYMI - ✨New Episode✨ in which we discuss the laws of magic, what a passion *really* is, and debate whether or not #Wishenpoof is the dumbest kids show name of all time, or in existence. Thoughts?

Got a brand #NewEpisode that drives Aerin closer to the brink as we continue to blur the line between what is a TV show and what is a weirdly long commercial with Heroes of Goo Jit Zu

Well that was fun explaining religion and religious holidays to my 5yo at 8am before I got out of bed 🙃

Just recorded our next episode where we talk about #Wishenpoof. Prepare yourself for a whole lot of mediocrity and really sub-par attempts at teaching kids things. Also, question: Is the bear the most annoying character on television?
