November is off to a strong start at BWorks! We welcomed 28 new students to Earn-A-Bike, Learn-To-Ride and Earn-A-Computer classes today, and lots of other visitors as well. This time-lapse video is from just five minutes of our day here at the shop!
But it still remains THE MOST deadly day of the year for youth hit by motor vehicles. PLEASE SLOW DOWN if your driving today. Lets all have a happy and safe Halloween together!
PLEASE slow down tonight!
We can bundle our children in reflective tape, flashlights in hand.
We can help them pick costumes that don’t cover the face or restrict their vision.
We can remind them to look both ways, not to step out from between cars.
We do this every year. 1/2
to one of the biggest biking adventures Missouri has to offer. We're so proud of everyone who took part and helped make the weekend a success! And thank you to @RCOutdoorsSTL for enabling BWorks to provide sufficient loaner camping supplies for all involved, for free. 2/2
It could not have been a more gorgeous weekend to go on a *45-mile* Katy Trail alumni adventure with BWorks bike program graduates, caregivers and volunteers! It truly was a biking-and-camping event to remember, with the free trip introducing St. Louis-area youth and families 1/2
Got to spend an amazing weekend with some @StlBWorks alumni families and volunteers on the Katy trail. 50 ish miles round trip total to camp in some beautiful woods.
Back at our building in Soulard, 62 different bikes are in process of being refurbished for students by some hard working staff and volunteers, while more staff and volunteers start our annual curriculum updates this evening!
Its only Tuesday! Today we had classes at Kenneth C Hanrahan Elementary in Jennings and at City Garden in the Botanical Heights neighborhood. We met with staff from @slps_info at Hickey Elementary School in the Kingsway East neighborhood to start planning for a new location 👇
Are those rides getting a bit chilly? Don’t forget we have a great selection of gently used clothing to help keep you warm! Your heart will even be a little warmer knowing your helping fund our great youth programs as well!

Big thanks to all of the BWorks team members and BWorks families who continue to make big things (and big fun!) happen for our region's young people! And a special note of gratitude to the Eckert's team for waiving wagon-ride fees to help keep the event free for participants. 2/2
We're so proud of the 36 riders who joined our pumpkin patch alumni adventure over the weekend! We biked 10 miles along St. Clair County trails, from the SWIC @STLMetro station to @EckertsOrchard, carting pumpkins in bike baskets and trailers and the like on the way back. 1/2
Seventeen BWorks students are graduating from their multi-week Earn-A-Bike, Learn-To-Ride and Earn-A-Computer programs today. Special thanks to teachers Chad, Sophia and TJ, and to our mechanical teams, for all their dedication on behalf of these determined, curious, joyful kids!
Who is outside enjoying this amazing fall weather? These kids all graduated today either EAB or LTR classes! These Bworks kids are at our home, Adams Elementary in Columbus Square and finishing out the night at St Vincent Community Center. Congratulations to all our kids!
