As our rowing season and school year comes to an end, a reminder that our fundraising page is still open. Thank you so much to those who have donated - past & present rowers, parents, teachers, members of other clubs - rowing truly is one big family! 🚣♂️

Great news! We are about to bring our boathouse into the 20th century with water and electricity. A Just Giving page has been set up to support this. We would be very grateful for any support - if you unable to donate, a share and a retweet would be great:

History Film Society gets more new members! Open to all sixth formers, not just those who study History. Also open to suggestions of (historical) films!
Day 3 has come to a close, we have visited reconstructed trenches, craters left by mines consisting of nearly 1/2 million tonnes of explosives, 3 cemeteries, cells, tea 🫖 at Talbot House in Poperinge followed by a leisurely stroll round Ypres! …and sleep😴

On Tuesday evening, both coaches attended the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. Well done to Ellie and Luke who represented the school as wreath bearers. Both have epitomised the values and standards of St Leonard’s students throughout this trip and should be proud.
Both groups are back in their respective hotels after a long and fascinating day touring some of the WW1 Battlefields. Very emotional and sobering seeing so many graves of fallen soldiers, especially those from so close to home…

Day 1 of the Zeitgeist Tour done. We all conquered the 84 metre, Yser Tower and were treated to a flyover by helicopters from the local air force base.
Last term we wished Mrs Logie good luck at her new school and now we wish her luck running the Great North Run tomorrow. She will be continuing a 10 year long fundraising campaign that is now over £20,000!
