#SLMPD is aware of social media posts promoting a juvenile gathering or ‘teen takeover’ this weekend.

Our officers have been monitoring this activity, have identified several individuals involved in organizing the event, and have developed operational plans to address any unlawful activity. Additional officers and resources will be deployed throughout the area.

We encourage parents and guardians to be aware of their children’s plans and to have conversations about making safe and responsible decisions
