@GrfineAmerican Making the solstice pass but continuing the quest shows that Percy isn’t in this by force anymore but rather is seeing it through because it’s the right thing to do. The movies made Annabeth like a damsel in destress. The first 15mins of the movie where they spoil the plot is bad
@GrfineAmerican Idrc if the changes are author approved. I like them when they help the story and I don’t like them when they don’t help the story. There are moments of the show where I think they dropped but the ball but I think it’s overall a good adaptation and show
@GrfineAmerican I think the show while not being word for word is a better adaptation because the changes serve as a way to better the plot or add depth to the characters. No major plot point or goal or character is compromised in the books the way they are in the movie
@GrfineAmerican IMO the movie changes were done poorly + affect the plot and the characters in a harmful manner. The characters weren’t like their book counterparts except for maybe Percy. To me the show changes serve as a helpful tool for storytelling and don’t compromise the characters or plot
