SB 1224 by Senator Kevin Sparks would require superintendents to report allegations of sexual abuse to external police within 48 hours.

Why does this matter?
Because some schools investigate themselves—and protect their own.

This bill is a good start, but we’re asking for more:

    •    Report to both city and county law enforcement
    •    Faster turnaround—so evidence isn’t destroyed
    •    Written reports that can be verified and released
